Mercury Racing® is proud to introduce the latest addition to its high-performance sterndrive family; the 520. The naturally aspirated engine provides recreational boaters a cost effective power option that fits nicely, in both value and performance, between MerCruiser® 8.2L MAG HO and Mercury Racing® 525 EFI.

Popular with boaters everywhere because they can get you anywhere. Quiet, capable, and held to the highest standards.

Popular with boaters everywhere because they can get you anywhere. Quiet, capable, and held to the highest standards.

Experience nimble manouvering and output far beyond its size. Multiple trim positions. Underwater vents for quiet operation.

The next wave in boating, SmartCraft® Integrated Marine Technology from Mercury links power, controls and internal and external sensors to provide precise data on OptiMax 225 Sport XS, OptiMax 250XS and OptiMax 300XS outboards and HP525 EFI, HP600 SCi, HP700 SCi and HP1075 SCi sterndrives equipped with the state-of-the-art SmartCraft Controller Area Network (CAN) electronic control system.
The system monitors a variety of vital engine functions including fuel flow, fuel range, fuel used, and RPM, along with water depth, trim angle, water pressure and battery voltage. Boat functions monitored include fuel tank levels and water and waste tank levels. SmartCraft equipped engines come standard with the Engine Guardian® system which monitors over 40 sensors for early indications of problems that could lead to engine damage. And, if a problem does occur, the system takes corrective action to reduce the risk of damage, and get the boater home safely.

As a result of increasing demand from the performance boating community, the innovative Mercury Racing Integrated Transom System (ITS) is now available as an accessory item for repower or upgrades.

New Mercury Racing Quick-Change (QC) through transom exhaust tips, designed exclusively for Mercury Racing by Custom Marine, Inc., feature an easily removable anti-backflow valve.

Mercury Racing K-Planes® are the epitome of trim tab development, durability and performance. Originally designed to endure the rigors of offshore racing, K-Planes help get boats up on plane faster and keep them level.

The Zero Effort Digital control by Mercury Racing provides an intuitive control experience – precisely signaling driver intent to engines equipped with SmartCraft Digital Throttle and Shift (DTS) technology.

Mercury Racing Zero Effort Controls feature a canted handle design that really fits the hand. Throttles have ball and spring detents which provide tactile feel and resist "creep." Shift levers provide a comfortable "throw" into and out of gear, giving sport boaters complete control of their boat.

Mercury Racing is pleased to announce the introduction of X-haust, a fully integrated sterndrive exhaust noise reduction system. X-haust was developed primarily to bring the HP600 SCi and EU662 SCi sterndrive engine packages, already certified by the European Union Recreational Craft Directive (RCD) requirements for exhaust emissions, in compliance with the stringent RCD noise regulations.

Mercury M8 Drive
FEATURES
- Combines best features of the dry-sump NXT¹ & Six drives. Dry-sumped for maximum power-output. Delivers 35% more power capacity than the legendary Six drive.
- All-new surface piercing gearcase, packed with heavy-duty components, is designed specifically to handle the 1350's higher torque.
- New 5 & 6-blade CNC sterndrive propellers are designed with stamina to allow the engine to endure in both treacherous and ideal offshore conditions.
- Two inches shorter resulting in an overall lower center of gravity for improved handling and overall boat performance.
- All new dry sump hydraulic transmission to handle the 1350's massive torque.
- While the lower drive cavity is bathed in oil, a unique propshaft driven oil pump sprays the upper drive gears. This reduces internal friction, increasing performance.
