Auckland Marine is one of Auckland’s longest standing marine businesses, incorporated in 1989 it has developed into a top-notch dealership offering a wide range of marine products and accessories.
Auckland Marine’s core business is Marine Retail Sales & Service, although a comprehensive range of chandlery, electronics, spare parts and accessories is also available.
Gary & Katie Hatton purchased the business in 2006 and have implemented several key changes since the takeover. The expansion of our boat range to include Fi-Glass fibreglass boats as well as core aluminium products now provides a more comprehensive range than ever before. Since takeover, Gary & Katie have secured the agency for Senator Pontoon boats, an aluminium pontoon boat which offers an alternative to the standard mono-hull. Auckland Marine has recently been appointed as dealers for White Pointer boats, a premier custom aluminium boat brand in the New Zealand marketplace. Auckland Marine Centre also continues their long association with the major Australian aluminium boat brand Quintrex and represents their product for the North Island.
Gary has worked in the Marine Industry since 1999 and has been fortunate enough to have worked with all the major outboard brands, and the majority of boat brands sold in New Zealand. As a result Gary has an in-depth knowledge of the complete range of products on offer and can tailor packages to suit individual requirements.
Donna Spencer-Dunn is Auckland Marine Centre’s Office and Administration Manager. Donna continues to patiently endure the endless fishing stories. Donna is the key contact for all accounts and prides herself in attention to detail and ensuring customers and suppliers alike receive high class customer service
Auckland Marine Centre has full time marine mechanics on site, qualified to work on almost all outboard and inboard, makes and models. Our mechanics have between them many years of experience to ensure that service work is completed to the highest standard and troubleshooting on engine faults is a speciality.
Andrew Hilliar heads up our workshop team and brings a wide range of technical skills to this important part of the business. Andrew is highly experienced and continues his professional development through regular supplier training.
Jordan Harman has recently joined the Auckland Marine team having worked as a technician in marine dealerships in Australia. His attention to detail and ‘get it done’ attitude has made him a great addition to the workshop team.
James has just joined Auckland Marine Centre. His recent experience on alternative outboard brands adds another string to the workshop bow.
Charles Rhodes is another recent addition to the team. A great all-rounder who covers a range of jobs from collecting boats, grooming, general gophering.
Auckland Marine specialises in aluminium & fibreglass boats ranging in size from 10′ dinghies through to 8.5m large trailer boats in all four brands and Mercury outboard motors from the small 2HP auxiliary’s to the large 350hp engines.
Our ‘flagship’ brands include Senator Pontoon/Fi-Glass Fibreglass boats/White Pointer Alloy/Quintrex Alloy. Other major franchises include Furuno/Simrad/Humminbird Electronics, Hy-Drive Hydraulic Steering, Maxwell & Quick Windlass’s and Capstans, Lectrotab Trim Tabs, Mercury Outboards, Voyager and DMW trailers.
Auckland Marine tries to ensure a good selection of used boats and outboards are also on sale although subject to availability.
