Auckland Marine is one of Auckland longest standing marine businesses, incorporated in 1989 it has developed into a top-notch dealership offering a wide range of marine products and accessories.

Gary & Katie Hatton purchased the business in 2006 and have implemented several key changes since the takeover. The expansion of the aluminium range to include McLay as well as the core Quintrex products now provides a more comprehensive alloy range. Auckland Marine also offers Senator Pontoon boats, an aluminium pontoon boat which offers an alternative to the standard ‘v’ hull.

Auckland Marine’s core business is Marine Retail Sales & Service, although a comprehensive range of fishing tackle, chandlery, electronics, spare parts and accessories is also available.

Gary has worked in the Marine Industry since 1999 and has been fortunate enough to have worked with all the major outboard brands, and the majority of boat brands sold in New Zealand. As a result Gary has an in-depth knowledge of the complete range of products on offer and can tailor packages to suit individual requirements.

Dale Skinner is the full time marine mechanic on site, qualified to work on almost all outboard and inboard, makes and models. Dale has been a mechanic for over 15 years and ensures that service work is completed to the highest standard and troubleshooting on engine faults is a speciality. 

Dianne Evans has been with Auckland Marine for 4 years as the Office Manager and continues to patiently endure the endless fishing stories. Dianne is the key contact for all accounts and prides herself in attention to detail and ensuring customers and suppliers alike receive high class customer service.

Matthew Keys joined the Auckland Marine Team in 2009 to add a wealth of knowledge in sales, service and his love of fishing and all things boating means he can answer almost any fishing question thrown at him. Matt provides top quality customer service and has quickly becomed entrenched as part of the Auckland Marine family.

Neville Hodgetts is our Groomer and Boat Detailer and ensures that all boats leaving the dealership do so in 'tip top shape'. Neville is always keen for a chat and never fails to entertain with a story while he works.

Auckland Marine specialises in aluminium boats ranging in size from 10’ dinghies through to 8.5m large trailer boats in all four brands and Mercury outboard motors from the small 2HP auxiliary’s to the large 225/250HP engines.

Our `flagship’ brand is Quintrex with Auckland Marine Centre being awarded Quintrex International Dealer of the year in 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004. Other major franchises include McLay aluminium boats, Senator pontoon boats, Lowrance and Furuno Electronics, Hy-Drive Hydraulic Steering, Quick Windlass's and Capstans, Lectrotab Trim Tabs, Mercury Outboards and Voyager trailers.

Auckland Marine become a dealer for McLay Boats in late 2008. These exclusively-designed craft are all about quality workmanship, functionality and value for money. They come with a well- founded reputation for safety, reliability and durability, require little maintenance and have been rigorously tested in conditions that ensure they will rise to most challenges.

Auckland Marine tries to ensure a good selection of used boats and outboards are also on sale although subject to availability.

Stockists of a comprehensive range of rods and reels (including Penn, Shimano, Daiwa, Fuji, Shakespear Ugly Stik, Silstar, Jarvis Walker Tuff Tip, etc), fishing tackle (Black Magic, Mustad, Gamakatsu, Grim Reaper, hooks, sinkers - Hapuka, No-Ding) braid, nylon (Sufix, Black Magic), Zest jigs and lures, Big Red tackle, frozen bait plus the latest trend of soft baits  - the new Berkley gulp range including the much talked-about "Nuclear Chicken" plus many other varieties.  Other chandlery items including lifejackets and safety equipment to meet all your fishing needs are also available.
